How To Become a Maker at The Hive
Price Structure
Every Maker pays a flat monthly membership fee of $625/month. It includes 25 hours of kitchen time each month, plus everything in the “What’s Included” list below.
If you need more time, additional kitchen hours are $25 per hour. Hours are tracked on the shared schedule, and your usage appears on your monthly statement.
Getting started
A one-time $250 security deposit, due with your application paperwork.
Membership is a $625/month agreement on a month to month basis.

Requirements and Expectations
Makers take part in events on The Hive’s porch, from ticketed Maker dinners to private events and the weekly Makers Market. These are a great way to reach new customers and build your following.
Take part in our classes and one-on-one mentorship on costing, taxes, marketing, social media and finance, so your business is built to last.
We encourage Makers to source from Nantucket’s small farms where they can. It keeps money on the island and makes your product more distinctly local.
Makers use sustainable packaging, in line with Remain’s vision of sustainability. We can point you to approved suppliers.
Monthly Maker meetings keep everyone in the loop on schedules, events and shared needs.
Many Makers, one vision. Respect the shared space, support your fellow Makers and take pride in the colony you’re helping build.
Pass along what you know through informal tips, workshops or classes. Our best resource is each other.
